QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take on a challenging role in the Maldives?
Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. is looking for a commercially focused professional to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of a major Affordable Housing Project.
Position Details
Location: Maldives – Project Site / Site Office
Department: Project Management / Commercial Department
Number of Vacancies: 1
Contract Period: Three years, renewable based on performance
Salary Range: USD 1,100–1,500, negotiable based on qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare BOQs, BOMs, quantity take-offs, estimates, and budgets.
• Monitor project expenditure and control costs.
• Analyse market rates for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Review tenders, quotations, and subcontractor proposals.
• Verify progress payments and prepare Interim Payment Certificates.
• Assess variations, claims, and contractual entitlements.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
• Prepare commercial reports and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project, design, engineering, and supervision teams.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Cost Engineering, or a related field.
• Three to five years or more of relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience in housing or large-scale building projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, quantity surveying, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT, or NEC contracts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong English communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• RICS accreditation or Maldives project experience is an advantage.
