SketchUp Furniture Designer

We're looking for a designer who can draw it, price it, and see it built.
Quick Craft moves fast at WoodPro. Clients want furniture designed, approved and in production in days, not months.

We need a SketchUp designer who thinks like a joiner: someone who knows how a cabinet actually gets made, picks the right hardware and board without being told, and hands the factory drawings it can cut
straight from.

If you're quick, clean and production-smart, and you want your income tied to the designs you sell rather than a fixed pay slip, this role is built for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Turn client briefs and sketches into 3D designs and renders
• Prepare production drawings, cut lists and material specs
• Design around our materials, hardware and factory capabilities
• Work with sales and the factory team to keep designs on budget and on time
• Turn around Quick Craft requests fast, with clean, repeatable designs

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong SketchUp skills.
• Real design-to-production knowledge: joinery, panel furniture, hardware, edge-banding, finishes
• Ability to produce accurate shop drawings and cut lists
• Fast, organised, and comfortable talking to clients
• Portfolio of built work (a must)

PAY: FIXED SALARY + COMMISSION THAT REWARDS YOU

• A fixed basic salary, so you have stability
• A strong commission on every design you convert into a sale
• Capable designers who close well can earn far more than a standard fixed salary
• Part-timers and freelancers get the same commission structure, pro-rated to the arrangement
