SECURITY OFFICER

Job Overview:
-We are looking for a reliable, alert, and responsible In-House Security Officer to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and protection of our guests, employees, visitors, hotel property, and assets while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor and patrol all areas of the hotel, including guest areas, public spaces, staff areas, and surrounding premises.
-Protect guests, employees, visitors, hotel property, equipment, and other assets.
-Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and access points and ensure proper access control.
-Conduct regular security rounds and report any suspicious activities, hazards, damages, or unauthorized persons.
-Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, guest concerns, emergencies, and disturbances.
-Assist in maintaining fire safety and emergency procedures in accordance with hotel policies.
-Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment, where applicable.
-Maintain accurate daily security logs, incident reports, and handover records.
-Assist guests and employees with safety-related concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
-Work closely with the General Manager and all Department Heads to maintain a safe and secure hotel environment.
-Ensure that keys, restricted areas, equipment, and other sensitive hotel assets are properly controlled and secured.
-Assist during emergencies, including fire, medical emergencies, severe weather, and other incidents.
-Support crowd control and safety during hotel functions, events, and special occasions.
-Inspect security and safety equipment regularly and immediately report any faults or damages.
-Maintain strict confidentiality regarding hotel security matters, guests, and internal operations.
-Follow all hotel policies, rules, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
-Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:
-Previous experience as a Security Officer, Hotel Security Officer, or in a similar role is preferred.
-Knowledge of basic security, safety, fire prevention, and emergency procedures.
-Physically fit, alert, responsible, and capable of working independently.
-Good observation, communication, and incident-reporting skills.
-Ability to remain calm and act professionally during emergencies and challenging situations.
-Honest, disciplined, trustworthy, and well-presented.
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-Basic English communication skills are preferred.
-Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
