Job Description
Job Overview:
- Society for Health Education (SHE) is looking for a Programme Officer for Communication responsible for leading and implementing communication strategies to enhance the organisation’s visibility and public engagement. The role is based in Malé and is a full-time position with a total salary range of MRF 8,680.00 – 11,120.00 (determined based on qualification and experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials.
- Prepare key messaging for SHE leadership.
- Monitor and manage SHE’s public image and crisis communication.
- Lead content development for newsletters and social media.
- Manage SHE’s social media platforms to maximise audience engagement.
- Oversee production of multimedia content to communicate SHE’s success stories.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement with compelling narratives.
- Train SHE staff on effective communication and media engagement.
- Create compelling campaigns and proposals for donors.
- Plan and execute public fundraising campaigns.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by the Director.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic communication, media relations.
- Experience working in the non-profit, health, or social development sector preferred.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong ability in copywriting, proofreading, and content editing.
- Ability to create and manage multimedia content.
- Fluency in English and Dhivehi (spoken and written).
- Experience in fundraising communications and donor relations.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and meetings.
- Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
