Job Description

Job Overview:
- Society for Health Education (SHE) is looking for a Programme Officer in Communication to lead and implement communication strategies to enhance organizational visibility and engagement. The role involves managing media relations and developing content. Location: Not stated. Openings: Not stated. Salary: MRF 8,680.00 – 11,120.00.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategy for SHE’s mission and programmes.
- Ensure brand consistency across communication materials.
- Prepare key messaging for leadership, including speeches and reports.
- Monitor and manage SHE’s public image and crisis communication.
- Lead content development for newsletters, social media, and reports.
- Manage SHE’s social media platforms for audience engagement.
- Oversee production of multimedia content for effective communication.
- Regularly update the SHE website for accessibility and relevance.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement with compelling narratives.
- Collaborate with programme teams to showcase impact of services.
- Engage members and volunteers with targeted communication strategies.
- Provide communication support for internal events and campaigns.
- Train SHE staff on communication, branding, and media engagement.
- Create advocacy materials for policy work.
- Develop campaigns, proposals, and reports for potential donors.
- Align communication efforts with fundraising goals for sustainability.
- Maintain relationships with existing donors with timely updates.
- Develop partnership proposals and MOUs for collaborations.
- Plan and execute public fundraising campaigns.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by the Director.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in strategic communication, media relations, or public affairs.
- 3–5 years in strategic communications, public relations, or media management.
- Preferred experience in non-profit, health, or social development sectors.
- Proven track record of successful communication campaigns.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills for various materials.
- Strong experience in copywriting, proofreading, and content editing.
- Ability to create and manage multimedia content.
- Experience producing impact-driven stories for SHE’s work.
- Fluency in English and Dhivehi (spoken and written).
- Highly proactive with a passion for storytelling and advocacy.
- Strong ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to SHE’s mission and values.
- Experience in fundraising communications and advocacy campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and meetings.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends when needed.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range: MRF 8,680.00 – 11,120.00.
