Political Specialist (Female / Male)
Job Overview:
- The U.S. Embassy in Maldives is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Political Specialist. The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining high-level relationships with key Maldives’ officials, monitors and analyzes political developments, and provides support during high-level visits. Monthly gross salary ranges from MVR. 30,160.92 - MVR. 45,241.75.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Maldivian officials and leaders.
- Monitor and analyze political and social developments.
- Draft substantive reports on human rights and religious freedom.
- Support high-level visits and meetings.
- Serve as a liaison between the Embassy and Maldivian counterparts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, or Journalism.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in political, economic, or foreign affairs.
- Fluent in English and Dhivehi, with translation capabilities.
- Broad knowledge of political issues in Maldives and political reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
