Fire Safety Inspector Trainee

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Safety Inspector Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the inspection team in conducting inspections, testing, and verification of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, and related equipment. The trainee will receive hands-on training, practical guidance, and on-the-job experience to develop the technical knowledge and skills required to carry out inspection duties independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with the inspection and testing of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, and related equipment.
- Learn and understand the basic requirements, standards, and procedures related to fire protection systems.
- Assist in checking installations against approved drawings, specifications, and requirements.
- Assist in preparing inspection reports, checklists, test records, and other required documents.
- Identify and report defects, damages, or issues observed during inspections to the supervisor.
- Assist technicians and inspection personnel during testing, commissioning, and functional checks.
- Learn to use inspection tools and testing equipment correctly and safely.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Follow instructions provided by the Inspection Supervisor and other authorized personnel.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain proper care of company tools, equipment, and other assigned resources.
- Develop practical knowledge and technical skills through on-the-job training.
- Attend required training sessions and actively participate in learning activities.
- Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by management related to inspection and testing activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum O-Level / Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or fire protection systems is an advantage.
- Technical or vocational training is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Physically fit and willing to work at different locations and sites.
- Previous experience in fire protection, electrical, mechanical, or technical work is an advantage but not required.

Salary & Benefits:

- Salary is MVR 8,000/- to MVR 10,000/-.
