Field Technician

Job Overview:
- Uplink Networks Pvt Ltd is seeking a hardworking and technically skilled Field Technician for a full-time position in the Maldives. The role involves field installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and project-related technical works.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fiber optic, network, and structured cabling works.
- Carry out fiber splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Install and configure Wi-Fi access points, network equipment, and IT devices.
- Perform cable pulling, dressing, labeling, and termination.
- Conduct site surveys and identify technical requirements.
- Read and understand basic technical drawings and layouts.
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom and IT systems.
- Maintain proper work quality, safety standards, and site cleanliness.
- Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to complete assigned works on schedule.
- Prepare basic work reports and update supervisors on site progress.

Qualifications & Experience:
- O’Level or relevant technical qualification in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in fiber optic, networking, cabling, or telecom works will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of networking and fiber optic systems.
- Ability to use basic tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work at different project locations/islands when required.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to speak and write English.
