Field Technician

Job Overview:
- This role is for a Field Technician tasked with installation, configuration, and maintenance of cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be capable of managing tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure cabling systems such as fiber optics and coaxial cables.
- Perform installations for new connections, relocations, and upgrades.
- Address assigned tickets on the same day and provide updates.
- Accurately record completed tasks and document reasons for late/rescheduled tasks.
- Travel to various locations as directed to complete assigned tasks.
- Document all used inventory items in ticket comments.
- Maintain high-quality standards in installations and fault resolutions.
- Ensure proper labeling of cables and secure closure of distribution boxes.
- Collect and document accurate customer information.
- Provide professional customer service and technical guidance.
- Minimize customer disruption during tasks.
- Diagnose and repair faults in cabling and network equipment.
- Log faulty hardware and liaise with the inventory team for replacements.
- Manage tools and equipment for installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during site work.
- Conduct routine equipment checks.
- Be available to work extended hours and provide emergency support.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work long hours and respond to urgent requests.
- Familiarity with safety standards and company protocols.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must have a motorcycle and driving license.
- Minimum GCE O'Level; A'Level or diploma in IT preferred.
