We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Fiberglass Technician to join our team in the construction and repair of high-quality fiberglass products and marine vessels. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an island-based work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform fiberglass lamination, molding, and repair work on boats and other fiberglass structures
• Prepare surfaces, cut fiberglass materials, and carry out hand lay-up processes
• Work with resins, fiberglass mats, woven roving, gel coats, and other composite materials
• Ensure proper finishing, sanding, polishing, and quality control of fiberglass products
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work specifications when required
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
• Follow company procedures, safety regulations, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Fiberglass Technology, Boat Building, Marine Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fiberglass lamination, composite manufacturing, or boat building
• Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resin systems, and repair techniques
• Experience in hull, deck, and structural fiberglass work is an advantage
• Ability to use fiberglass tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Detail-oriented with strong workmanship and quality standards
• Physically fit and able to work in a production or boatyard environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in an island environment
