Job Overview:
- The Society for Health Education (SHE) is seeking a dynamic, values-driven, and experienced professional to lead its Program Department as Director Program. This is a senior management and Head of Department (HoD) role responsible for providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership across SHE’s program portfolio. Salary range is MRF 11,120.00 – 14,490.00, determined based on qualification and experience. Work location is not stated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Program Department.
- Align SHE’s program with organizational strategy and donor frameworks.
- Drive program innovation and adaptation to changing contexts.
- Serve as Head of Department for Program staff.
- Foster a high-performing team culture.
- Ensure clear systems and workflows within the Program Department.
- Lead identification and development of new program concepts.
- Contribute to resource mobilization strategies and donor engagement.
- Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.
- Promote evidence-based programming and improve program quality.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and organizational policies.
- Monitor programme budgets and expenditures.
- Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders.
- Represent SHE in relevant forums.
- Contribute to SHE’s strategic planning and institutional strengthening.
- Uphold SHE’s values, ethics, and social responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program leadership, preferably within NGOs.
- Experience in managing teams and donor-funded projects.
- Maldivian national.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven program coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of program budgets and financial statements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel when required.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range is MRF 11,120.00 – 14,490.00.
