Job Overview:
- The Society for Health Education (SHE) is looking for a dynamic, values-driven, and experienced professional to lead its Program Department as Director Program. This is a senior management role responsible for providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership across SHE’s program portfolio. Salary range: MRF 11,120.00 – 14,490.00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Program Department.
- Align SHE’s program with organizational strategy and national priorities.
- Drive program innovation and adaptation to changing contexts.
- Serve as Head of Department, providing supervision and mentoring.
- Foster a high-performing team culture.
- Ensure efficient systems, roles, and workflows within the department.
- Lead identification and development of new program concepts.
- Support negotiation of grants and agreements.
- Ensure application of effective monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Promote evidence-based programming through data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and policies.
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and risks.
- Build relationships with stakeholders.
- Represent SHE in relevant forums.
- Contribute to SHE’s strategic planning and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in program leadership, preferably in NGOs or social sector institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and donor-funded projects.
- Maldivian national.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel when required.
