The VILLA Group, founded by Qasim Ibrahim in 1977, began as a sole proprietorship named 'QIM Maafannu VILLA' involved in trading rice, diesel, and kerosene. In 1986, he consolidated his shipping and trading interests under VILLA Shipping & Trading Pvt. Ltd., which became the parent company of the growing VILLA Group. Today, the VILLA Group operates under VILLA Holdings Pvt Ltd., encompassing 25 companies engaged in diverse industries such as trading, manufacturing, tourism, aviation, fisheries, education, and media. The group owns luxury resorts, an airline, an airport, a comprehensive trading enterprise, a modern fisheries complex, a television and cable network, and a leading private college.
