Dhivehi Insurance Company Pvt. Ltd. obtained license from the Maldives Monetary Authority to conduct General Insurance business on 2 June 2016. The company was formed as a joint-venture between Ensis Fisheries Pvt Ltd, and key professionals in the industry. One of the the founders of Ensis Group and Dhivehi Insurance, Mr.Abdul Wahid Thowfeeq, has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having managed the largest company Allied Insurance in his previous role. With the wealth of experience of long serving industry professionals, Dhivehi aims to be a key player in the Maldivian insurance market backed by the financially rated reinsurers. International reinsurers supporting Dhivehi include SCOR Re/France, Hannover Rr/Germany, Odyssey Re/USA, Echo RE Switzerland, GIC India etc. Dhivehi employs both a team of seasoned professionals and aspiring youth who are driven by a culture of providing fast, efficient, and personalized service to all its valued customers.
