The Cyprea Group of Companies came into existence with the incorporation of Cyprea Pvt. Ltd. in 1978. Although it was established to serve as a travel agency, the company was formed on solid ground, its foundation laid on the budding tourism industry. The company was formed with a vision; a vision of leading the way, clearing the path for greater things to come.<br /> The company from inception firmly focused on the travel and hospitality industry the company�s first milestone did not take long to reach. The company acquired Kanifinolhu in North Male� Atoll for the development of a tourist resort in 1979. Cyprea Hotels and Travel Pvt. Ltd. was formed to manage and operate the resort.<br /> The newly formed company became the first IATA accredited travel firm in the Maldives.
